What we collect

Dubai Deals does not require an account. We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us — specifically, when you submit the “Stay in the loop” form on a restaurant page.

• Email address (optional)
• Mobile number (optional)
• The restaurant page you submitted from
• A SHA-256 hash of your IP address combined with a server-side salt — used to detect form abuse. The raw IP is never stored.
• Your browser user agent string
• The timestamp of your submission

Beyond the form, our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) sees the standard request metadata any website does: your IP address in transit, your user agent, and the URL you requested. We do not run analytics or tracking pixels.

Why we collect it

• To occasionally send you updates about restaurant deals we think you’ll find useful — only if you’ve given us a way to reach you.
• To detect and prevent abuse of the form (spam, automated scraping, brute-force submissions).
• To understand which restaurants people care about so we can prioritise coverage.

How long we keep it

We retain your contact information for as long as you remain interested in receiving updates. You can request deletion at any time and we will remove it within a reasonable period.

Who we share it with

No one. Your contact information is never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for marketing. The data lives in our private database, accessible only to the operator of dubaideals.live.

Your rights

Whether you’re in the UAE (covered by the Personal Data Protection Law) or in the EU/UK (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you
• Request a copy of that data
• Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
• Ask us to delete it (the “right to be forgotten”)
• Withdraw consent at any time

Email hello@dubaideals.live from the address you originally signed up with and we’ll act on your request.

Cookies

We use one piece of local storage on your device, named dd-subscribed, to remember that you’ve already submitted the “Stay in the loop” form so we don’t prompt you again. We don’t use cookies for tracking or advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes (anything that affects what we collect or how we use it) will be reflected in the form’s consent text the next time you see it.
